The Sky Without a StarShe sat there pondering the events of the last couple of cycles. Ashlen wondered if what she had done was the right thing. Would it have been better if the people had never known the truth? She believed herself to be the destruction of the human race, even though people were thanking her for what she had done. Ashlen's gaze turned toward the glass window that overlooked the underground city. Frontier 5 is a mere shadow of what it used to be. The city was starving. The city would die, just as the universe around it had. All Ashlen could do was stare out the window and look back on past events.-------------------------------------------- As
No TimeThe universe is never lending time,It takes your precious moments; apprehending time. The clock's hands move round and round,You battle it and are contending time. It's never slow enough or quick enough,You spend your days bending time. Those who don't wish to die,Dream of transcending time. She is too busy to love,She is misspending time. This was one of the more difficult poems to write, because of the weird rhyme scheme. I think the message is something that makes this poem powerful, but can be interpreted in many different ways.
An Ode to the UniverseMade of space so very vast,In its very presence, I stand aghast.I feel so insignificant and small,Its power is enough to frighten us all.It has all colors of brilliant shades. It never ever fades. The universe expands,So many strange new lands! It is something no man can capture. You can't look away as you are caught in rapture.Even if our world were to end,The fabric of the universe will not even bend.As we watch in fear and wonder,Our world is torn asunder. The universe continues on,Into a new dawn.
Star Rise ReaperStar Rise ReaperLooking to those far-off galaxies,And those shimmering stars. I find myself frozen,Trapped behind these bars.Hell's fire burns below,The gates of heaven are no more.Death plays his cello. I feel the pain right down to the core.Blood stains the path I tread,Turmoil is my destiny dream. My existence so filled with dread.I hear them scream.I am a puppet,I have no will. My only purpose is to kill.I am doomed to watch them die.Hell's fire burns below,The gates of heaven are no more. The devil is my true foe. What is it all for?I am damned forever,My fate pre-determined.Death my endeavour.
Wishmaster Chapter 5Chapter 5- Her Truth and My WishThis world was so static and unchanging. The lack of action here was suffocating. How could Lily stand to live here? Her life meant nothing. She had no purpose. She meant nothing to anyone. What would happen if she were to remember another world, a life she once lived? I bet she would feel a spark of loneliness. I could understand why I would think of such a thing. It seemed too cruel to remind people of what they wished to forget. Today was different than the days before it. Everything that I became used to in this world had changed. This time I meet Lily. I would be able to touch her, to talk to her. I
Anti-YouThe stuffy cell was lighted by a dim bulb in the middle of the ceiling. The prisoner's eyes were wide open, hardly blinking. Leather safety straps pinned him to the bed. A needle pumped nutrients into his veins while he sat there, unable to harm anyone on the ship. A woman holding a rather large gun stood outside of the cell protected by red laser bars. The captain named so by the survivors on the ship strode through the halls of the futuristic dungeons. A common sight of blood, old and new, painted the metal corridors. The captain's boots clicked loudly as he stomped through the halls. Within a few steps, he had reached his destination. He
